Another week...
Hello all (from Amie),
Here are some snapshots of Mira's last week. We had friends visit on Sunday who have a little boy Mira's age named Isaac. They seemed to be somewhat intrigued by each other, but not as much as Mylee (their 3-year-old daughter) was intrigued by Mira.
Mira's latest antics: blowing raspberries and kicking her legs (hard!). We keep thinking she is going to break a foot.
From Mark: Mira is sporting the "bitter milk face" in the last picture. I like it.

Happy Camper
Mira had a great time on her first camping trip this weekend. We met up with a big group of our friends and had a blast hanging out by the river, taking walks, playing with the dogs and hanging around by the campfire. Mark and I usually go backpacking-camping, so this was what I call "luxury camping"; drinking water from the tap, flushing toilets and real food. (No need to hike down to the river to get water or eating freeze-dried stuff on this trip.) For the most part everything went smoothly except for a 2:00 AM wake-up call by Mira on Sunday morning. We had her in a little fold-up bed between us in the tent, so we think she thought it was pretty cool having mom and dad right there beside her. This weekend was a first for Dottie too. We finally convinced her to go in the water! She actually went for a very brief swim in the river. She looked a little surprised when she realized that her paws were no longer touching the ground and made a 180 back to the shore. She did it though! Here are some pics of our trip this weekend.
We are all looking forward to having Nana & Maynard, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jill and cousins Daniel and Kayla out for a visit next week!

New Stats
Mira had her 4 month checkup today, a tad late. She's now 25.25" long (77%ile) and weighs 13lbs. 7oz (37%ile). Her head size is in the 17%ile, which makes sense given that her mom and dad have heads the size of peas. She also had her vaccinations today, which she was not happy about. I'm starting to believe that whatever teen animosity a child feels for his or her parents may have something to do with holding the kid down during shots as an infant. All that built up angst comes out when the hormones do. Oh well. So far, she doesn't feel very well. Hopefully she'll feel better soon.
